A watch party is a live, synchronized screening. The film starts at a set time and plays for your entire audience simultaneously — no matter where they are watching from. Think of it like a movie theater that meets online.
You pay one screening license fee. Your attendees watch for free. We provide a unique viewer access link and a promo code to share when you promote your event. Each viewer creates a free account on the platform, applies the code at checkout, and gets in at no cost to them.

From Request to Screening
We handle the backend setup. Here is what the process looks like from your end.
Submit your request
Fill out the watch party request form with your screening date, start time, time zone, and expected audience size. Let us know if you would like any optional add-ons (see below).
We configure everything
We set up your broadcast on the backend and get back to you with your viewer access link and promo code. You do not need any technical experience to host.
Complete payment
Once your event is configured, you will be directed to complete payment through our screening platform. Payment is required before your viewer access code is released.
Promote your event
Share your viewer link and promo code with your audience. Each viewer creates a free account and applies the code at checkout. They are in — no cost to them.
Watch together
At the scheduled time, the film begins for everyone simultaneously. Your audience receives a 10-minute reminder email automatically before the film starts.
What Your Audience Should Know

- Each viewer needs a free account on Eventive, the platform that hosts the film. Registration is quick and free.
- The film starts at the scheduled time for everyone. Pausing for more than 90 seconds will automatically return a viewer to the live stream.
- Missed the live screening? The film is available on demand for up to 48 hours after the broadcast ends, through each viewer's Eventive account.

Welcome Video
Record a short intro from you or your leadership — a welcome message, context for the conversation, or a word about why this film matters to your community. It plays before the film begins. Videos must be 3 minutes or under; anything longer cannot be accommodated.
Post-Film Conversation
Hosting a Zoom after the film? Share your link when you submit the form. We will embed it so every attendee receives it automatically — in their confirmation email and as a prompt when the film ends.
No setup neededLive Chat
Live chat is built into every watch party. Viewers watching on a computer will see the chat window automatically and can react and respond to one another in real time during the screening.
Q&A with the Director
You can add a virtual Q&A session with director Lauren Vernea following your screening. Sessions run 30 to 60 minutes and are priced by audience size.
